Most positions in the Village of Kenmore are competitive positions. That means that, in order to be considered for a position, you would need to first take a specific exam offered by Erie County Personnel (Civil Service). Once these exams are graded, your name will appear on a list for that job title.

If there’s an opening for a particular job title, the Village will request the appropriate list and we will hire off of that list of eligible applicants.

If you’re interested in a particular position, you should check the Erie County Personnel website to see when the exam for a particular position is being offered. Please note that exams generally run once every 2 years, so it’s important to take any tests you’re interested in, as soon as you see a listing.

For more information on Civil Service tests, please visit the Erie County Personnel website.

Part-time and Laborer positions are not competitive. If you’re interested in applying for these positions, you will need to complete a Village of Kenmore Employment application.
